Personal best

"Życiówka" is a Mezo album released on March 26, 2017, the day of the Poznań Half Marathon. The album includes two singles: "Instykt i serce" and "Życiówka." The album consists of half running tracks and the other half of regular, universal songs.

The album's lead single is the title track, "Życiówka," a song about the need to overcome one's weaknesses, but also about the joy of participating in running events. The album also features tracks about running determination ("Poświęcenie"), running dreams ("Dwa30"), and... a marathon wall ("Ściana").

"I've been looking for the inspiration to record a new album for a long time. I found it in my non-musical passion – sports. I've always loved running, I ran my first marathon in 2002 at the age of 20. However, over the past three years, I've started getting more involved, training much more regularly and with the mission of breaking my personal bests. My head is so full of running right now that I've created a half-themed running album. The second part of the album consists of "normal," universal songs," says Mezo.
