5 Seconds Of Summer Youngblood [PL]

5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) has announced the release of their new album, "Youngblood." The release features the title single, a collaboration between the band and Andrew Watt and Ali Tamposi, who also contributed to Camila Cabello's hit "Havana."

Vocalist and drummer Ashton Irwin added that while working on the material, he was inspired by the local club scene, which blends romance and danger, energy and color, and the melancholic yet energetic sounds of new wave. "That's exactly what we wanted on our album," explains the drummer.

The band was assisted in the production by songwriters Carl and Rami (Nicki Minaj, Madonna), producer and instrumentalist Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Eminem, Fiona Apple), producer and engineer Noah Passovoy (Maroon 5), as well as J Kash (Maroon 5, Charlie Puth), Asia Whitacre (Hailee Steinfeld, Zedd) and Andrew Goldstein (Linkin Park, Simple Plan).

It is worth recalling that the first two 5SOS albums reached number 1 on the Billboard charts, and Rolling Stone magazine called 5 Seconds of Summer "the biggest new rock band in the world."
