The album Tribute To The Police features songs by the legendary band The Police, presented with contemporary sonic concepts. The project is created by Marta Król and Paweł Tomaszewski Group. New interpretations and an emotional approach to melody rediscover the depth, potential, and beauty of familiar compositions. Paweł Tomaszewski's magnificent arrangements often present listeners with surprising solutions, creative ideas, and engaging instrumentation. Marta Król's feminine sensitivity gives new character and resonance to the original male performances. The compositional style oscillates around jazz and soul, and is broken and elegantly enhanced by the orchestration of brass instruments. The instrumental parts, played perfectly by leading musicians in Poland, create an exceptionally refined sound and artistic character for the project. The arrangements were written for a classic acoustic-electric jazz trio, augmented by percussion, and a chamber woodwind orchestra – flutes, clarinets, saxophones, and French horns.
