When the first volume was published in mid-2018, no one could have predicted that a sequel would ever be produced. Yet, it's 2022, and the fifth installment of what could easily be called the most important book in the history of Polish hip-hop has arrived. "This is not hip-hop. Conversations" returns with a nearly 400-page collection of fifteen insightful interviews.

Jacek Baliński has been relentlessly building the series' reputation, which has earned him enduring recognition and respect from the rap scene. He avoids sensationalism, flashy headlines, or controversy. Instead, he relies on solid research and reliable, meticulous editing, thus reaching ambitious readers who aren't satisfied with Instagram Q&A sessions.

A distinguished, diverse and essential group of creators was invited to participate in the fifth volume – rappers, producers, DJs and so-called eminences grise – most of whom made their debuts in the 1990s. Record-breakingly long meetings (over 75 hours of recordings in total!) resulted in a fascinating read, allowing for a detailed insight into the lives and careers of its protagonists.
