This isn't hip-hop. Conversations

After more than two years of intense work, the unprecedented book "This is not hip-hop. Conversations" saw the light of day in June 2018. It featured 20 extensive interviews with outstanding representatives of the Polish hip-hop industry. As it turned out, shortly after its premiere, the work of Jacek Baliński and Bartek Strowski was met with acclaim in influential media outlets such as "Polityka," "Rzeczpospolita," and "Wprost."

All the guests invited to this intriguingly titled book come from hip-hop backgrounds and have made enormous contributions to it, yet hip-hop is just one of the platforms in which they express themselves. On the one hand, alongside outstanding rappers, music producers, and DJs, "This Is Not Hip-Hop: Conversations" also features publishers, managers, and sound engineers. On the other hand, alongside lawyers and academics, there are entrepreneurs from the creative and IT industries, as well as filmmakers. What's most interesting is that both sides are represented by the same individuals.
