The Jokes Are Over

The latest, second album of the band Bottlekopf entitled "The Jokes Are Over" has seen the light of day. After eight

After years of break, the band releases another CD in their discography.

Bottlekopf was formed in 2010 in Katowice. The initial lineup was as follows:

Marek "Chłosta" Szefer – Guitar/Vocals Gargamel – Drums Sewko – Bass Guitar

The idea for the music was simple – lively, live Death'n'roll with a Swedish sound.

During this period, two songs were created that shaped the band's style – "Absolutely Nothing" and "Our Veins Burn".

In 2012, Gargamel was replaced by Buła, and the role of the second guitarist was taken over by Piekielny (musicians known from
Chłosta's previous project – "Incinerate Infection").

This lineup completed and recorded the material for the LP "Absolutely Nothing" (released in 2014 by

"Wydawnictwo Muzyczne Psycho"). In the next stage of the band's existence (end of 2012), there were changes in the lineup. Buła left the band – he emigrated. For a short time we worked with Łysy ("Decay").
Unfortunately, we couldn't reach an agreement on musical matters and in 2013 we started working with DaveBro
("Snake Eyes"). With this lineup, we played a number of concerts and began preparing material
for the next album. Unfortunately, in mid-2015, Sewko and DaveBro left. The band, without a complete lineup, started
intensive search for a rhythm section. In 2016, Marcin joined the band – drums and
Chomik – bass guitar. Unfortunately, shortly after completing the lineup, we parted ways with our second guitarist.
Piekielny, and from that point on, the decision was made to continue as a trio. In this form, the band began playing concerts and recording material for their second album.

In 2018 we parted ways with our bassist Chomik, which meant that we started playing again.
We were left without a full lineup. He played a short stint as a bass guitarist in 2018.
Misiek (“Consumer”), with whom we played several concerts.

After another breakup, we managed to convince bassist Tymoteusz Herman ("Deadlines") to record the bass line

on our second release, which resulted in further cooperation as a session bassist in the years

2018-2019. After all these lineup disruptions, it wasn't until 2020 that the band was finally assembled,
which looks like this to this day:

Marcin "Martino" Glanda – Drums

Radosław Surówka – Bass guitar

At the end of 2021, the band managed to complete their second album, which is titled "The Jokes Are Over".

The album was released on February 22, 2022, also by "Wydawnictwo Muzyczne Psycho".

September 2022 signing of a publishing and distribution agreement with Case Studio from Aleksandrów Łódzki.
