Duxius Remanence

Duxius is the musical project of Edyta Rogowska – composer, lyricist, instrumentalist and vocalist living in Berlin.

Duxius is characterized by diversity and fusion—not only of sounds or different art forms, but also—as the name suggests—a linguistic fusion, as Edyta writes songs in three languages: Polish, English, and German. The project's eclecticism is also reflected in its sound, which is based on broadly defined alternative music. In keeping with her temperament, Edyta blends genres such as funk, indie, pop, rock, and even jazz.

Remanence is Duxius's first solo effort. This album is a record of events in the artist's life and a keen observation of the world around her. Edyta plays with form not only musically but also visually – all singles from the album are accompanied by music videos in which the artist assumes various musical incarnations.
