Think Me Over

" Przemyśl mnie " is the fourth album by the alternative band Kremlowskie Kuranty, released in early 2010 by Wrocław-based label Lou & Rocked Boys (Rockers Publishing). The album features 11 songs—some nostalgic, sometimes feisty (the band's punk past obliges), but always melodic, guitar-driven, and with a unique atmosphere. The recordings often combine sharp, electric sounds with acoustic ones (guitar, saxophone, and even mandolin). Male vocals juxtaposed with atmospheric, female vocals complement the band's signature sound. The group's trademark—no less important than the music—remains the original, morally and existentially themed lyrics by Irek Dańko, the band's founder and author of most of their repertoire. Because of these lyrics, some have long called Kuranty's songs "punk sung poetry." The band was formed in 1986 in Jasło, in the Podkarpacie region, where some members still live (some have since moved to Krakow). It is one of the longest-running alternative groups in Poland. In the early 1990s, it played at festivals in Jarocin, Węgorzewo, and Katowice Odjazdy, among others.
