Molly Malone's album, Obłęd, was released by the Wrocław-based label Lou & Rocked Boys. Molly Malone's is a folk-punk band from Giżycko, Masuria, masterfully blending elements of Celtic folk with punk rock. The idea for the band originated with Jarek "Kwiatek" Kwiatkowski and Bartek "Koń" Biwejnis, who, after their experience in punk rock bands and shanty bands, decided to incorporate Irish melodies played on accordion and fiddle into punk rock songs. Molly Malone's proved to be the only band in Poland professionally playing this globally popular genre. It was therefore natural that, despite their short stage career, they would support such genre stars as Canada's The Dreadnoughts, The Real McKenzies, and the US's Street Dogs at concerts in Poland.
