Foreign countries

This is the third solo album by the Krakow-based singer-songwriter. Basia Stępniak-Wilk has prepared another portion of her literary confessions. This time, she explores the various facets of traveling to foreign lands—both real and less easily named, delving into the depths of oneself, into the future (including the afterlife), and searching for meaning. But as befits an artist associated with Krakow cabarets for over a decade, the subject is also approached with a sense of humor. The album "Foreign Countries" thus shimmers with color—a variety of moods and genres, plenty of wordplay, and yet the credibility of the author's message.
