Babu Król debuted with the critically acclaimed album "Sted" (2012), featuring original music set to lyrics by Edward Stachura, and played dozens of concerts across Poland. They unearthed Stachura's poems from beneath a ton of worn-out sweaters and sentimental scout chants. They recorded a powerful, magical, and motoric album. The miles they logged during years of playing big beat resulted in a sense of rhythm forged by a wandering poet, and songs that portray Stachura as someone close to our times—a time of wandering, migration, and exploration.

They worked on their second album for two years. They invited Joanna Sokołowska (a renowned composer of theater music, singer, and performer), Antoni "Ziut" Gralak (an outstanding Polish jazz trumpeter), Dariusz Sprawka (one of the finest trombonists in Poland), and Aleksander Orłowski (a young percussion virtuoso) to record the new material. Unlike the first, ascetic and austere album, the second album has an orchestral and spacious sound.
