Jacek Stęszewski (born March 15, 1980, in Katowice) is a singer and composer whose work straddles urban folk, sung poetry, and original song. The most important element in his work, beyond the inescapable melodies, is the lyrical layer; dense with metaphors, charged with associations and stylistic devices so rarely found in contemporary songwriting. Or rather, poetry. The lyrics of Jacek Stęszewski's compositions are poetry of the highest order, embellished with beautiful guitar melodies based on violin, a richly pulsating double bass, atmospheric cello, accordion, and percussion. Pensive and lyrical, yet playful and energetic at the same time.

As he himself admits, what he enjoys most in life is creating and singing songs. Self-taught, he has no musical training, and prioritizes artistic independence above all else. This has won him legions of fans captivated by his directness and engaging smile.
Jacek Stęszewski has been writing songs for years, but it wasn't until 2012 that he decided to record his first solo album. "Finally, 'Księżycówka' matured. It became so compelling that it had to be released. It was also important that these songs didn't just stay in the drawer and in my imagination," explained the guest on "Muzyczna Jedynka." Stęszewski plays music that straddles urban folk and sung poetry. The most important element of his work is the lyrics: dense with metaphors and loaded with associations. The artist is also the vocalist of the band Koniec Świata, with whom he performs a completely different repertoire: ska and punk rock.

The album "Księżycówka" features 17 of his songs, some of which refer to Polish history. "There are also a few songs inspired by my own experiences. I think many people can identify with them," Stęszewski said in an interview with Paweł Sztompke.
