I LOVE TROUBLE

" I Love Trouble " is the third studio album by Cała Góra Barwinków. The album contains 15 tracks in the broadest sense of ska. CGB's work reflects a fascination with bands like Madness and The Specials, but also references to swing, reggae, rocksteady, and Latin. All of this is filtered through a Slavic sensibility that gives the band's music a distinctive character. The album features plenty of catchy melodies, and as usual, the brass section plays a prominent role, while the lyrics address a wide range of issues—from the brightest to the darkest sides of life. Hence the titular "trouble," understood as all the good, but also all the bad that happens in life. Thirteen of the 15 songs are the band's first original compositions. The remaining two are covers of Jamaican music icons Delroy Wilson and Toots Hibbert. The latter's song was recorded with guest musicians and vocalists from CGB's friend group Dubska. The album was mixed by the band's drummer and one of the most talented young producers, Jarek 'Ujar' Hejmann. Jarosław 'Smok' Smak and Mariusz 'Activator' Dziurawiec from As One Studio were responsible for mastering. 'Kocham Trouble' is a testament to the development that Cała Góra Barwinków has undergone over 10 years of activity. The group has come a long way from a garage band to the forefront of the Polish reggae scene. Along the way, CGB has achieved perhaps the most difficult thing of all – they have developed their own, almost instantly recognizable style. 'Kocham Trouble' sums up this journey, so to speak, but also sets the direction the band will take in the future. Because Cała Góra Barwinków certainly hasn't said its last word yet. They love trouble too much. Let's hope you love it too.
