"FACES" - this is the next, second, release of the renowned jazz trio PATRYCJUSZ GRUSZECKI TRIO, consisting of: ZBIGNIEW LEWANDOWSKI (drums), KAJETAN GALAS (Hammond organ) and the leader, PATRYCJUSZ GRUSZECKI (trumpet, flugelhorn) with the guest appearance of JANUSZ SZROM, who sang one of GRUSZECKI's compositions to the lyrics by ADAM KAWA entitled "LOVE AS A TEAR". The trio, recognized in 2017 by JazzPRES readers and JazzFM radio listeners with two awards: Jazz Album of the Year "SOMETHING ABOUT..." and Best Jazz Performer of the Year – PATRYCJUSZ GRUSZECKI, recorded eight new compositions by the distinguished trumpeter and one by the renowned drummer ZBIGNIEW "LEVANDEK" LEWANDOWSKI. Thanks to the musicians' innate passion for mainstream music, the album "FACES" maintains a mainstream music feel, yet incorporates many modern metrorhythmic solutions, introducing many interesting polyrhythmic and polymetric techniques, as well as a modern sound.
