Depressed Lady

" Depressed Lady " is a collection of twelve jazz songs, released as Mary Rumi's recording debut. Together with her brother, the distinguished trombonist and arranger Jacek Namysłowski, they created a carefully considered album: nearly seventy minutes of top-notch modern jazz, performed by a galaxy of distinguished musicians, including Michał Miśkiewicz, Łukasz Poprawski, Tomasz Wendt, Michał Kapczuk, Tomasz Sołtys, Robert Murakowski, and the Atom String Quartet. Eight songs feature lyrics by Mary, and four by distinguished Polish writers: W. Młynarski, J. Wołek, A. Osiecka, and R. Groński. Compositions by Zbigniew and Jacek Namysłowski, as well as Mary Rumi. Some triumphed at the first song festivals in Opole, others had previously existed solely as instrumental pieces. The album took over three years to complete. Mary and Jacek dedicated it to their recently deceased father, Zbigniew Namysłowski. All the songs were arranged by Jacek Namysłowski.
