BLACK SHEEP

The band Do Góry Nogami was formed in Olkusz at the turn of 2013 and 2014, although the idea had germinated in the mind of bassist and vocalist Maciek Fert several years earlier. Consistently pursuing a DIY path, the group began to gain increasing recognition. Numerous concerts contributed equally to this, as did the music itself. The sounds cultivated by DGN are difficult to clearly classify. The Olkusz band remains faithful to the tradition of old-school Polish punk rock, but successfully enriches it with rootsy rock 'n' roll rhythms and even noise or progressive arrangements. However, punk as performed by DGN remains a music of resistance. "It's hard for me to agree with the modern way of life or accept certain behaviors," says Maciek, who is responsible for the lyrics. "I guess you could talk about a certain alienation."

In March 2021, the band will record their third album, "Black Sheep," for the "100th" issue. The recording was produced by Haldor Grunberg, known for his work on Behemoth.
The album was released in October 2021, as with the previous album, the publisher is Lou & Rocked Boys.
The single announcing the album is the song "Nie ma radzi" (No Hope), featuring Jarek Ważny from the group Kult on trombone.

"DGN takes up most of my life, my thoughts, and my time," the band's bassist says. "I don't think anything attracts me as much as music—creating it and playing it. Even if playing this kind of music is survival in this country."
