BLAUKA MINIATURES
Blauka Blauka is a Polish band founded by the writing and composition duo of Georgina Tarasiuk, the lyricist and composer, and Piotr Lewańczyk, the bassist and music producer. Their music is a perceptive, often humorous account of reflections and observations on the complexities of human relationships in the modern world. A unique approach to musical composition, frequent, indirect references to Polish culture of the 1970s, and a significant dose of self-distance are the defining characteristics of the debuting band Blauka.
The album "Miniatura" is a collection of ten songs in the spirit of "retrospective recreational rock," as the band themselves describe their style. These songs are unconventional in sound and form, telling the story of dreams and the doubts that affect us all. The music on the album, a break from the contemporary noise, is filled with melodies and is an extension of Polish classical musical thought. The lyrics, in turn, offer a wink at the reality around us. "Miniatura" includes previously released, very well-received singles: "Figle Zuchwałe," "Zawzięcie," and "Fantazmat." Music videos were created for each of them, which were noticed and praised at film festivals in Poland and abroad (Germany, the USA, Romania, Italy). Blauka's unique approach to visual arts is also reflected in the album's packaging - the unusual box with a characteristic window conceals the artistry of illustrator Natalia Trochowska, which is a sophisticated complement to the publication.
BLAUKA WOLTA:
Blauk , and he does it with a bang. The title "Volta" is no accident. It's not just a musical metaphor for the end of a certain stage and the beginning of a new chapter; it's also a surprising plot twist or unexpected change—and this is precisely the kind of difficult life volte-face the duo of Georgina Tarasiuk and Piotr Lewańczyk have faced over the past few years of creating new music.
The band, previously associated with the lightness of alternative pop and vintage nostalgia, reveals a more uncompromising side on their new album. More fresh, indie-pop sounds, guitars, pulsating energy, and a fierce edge emerge. This is Blauka, unafraid to speak directly, raise her voice, and play with form—all without losing her lyrical identity.
"Wolta" comprises 10 tracks that straddle the line between emotional tension and detachment, between apt descriptions of everyday life and poetic absurdity. It's a story about relationships, crises, loss, loneliness, intuition, passion, and discharges—both electrical and interpersonal.
The album contains previously released singles, including: "Kiks", "Simona", "Berlin i Amsterdam", "Fason", "Figura Lichtenberga"
