Habakuk 4 life

The next album from one of the most popular reggae groups in Poland. Its title supposedly corresponds to the words sung by the band's vocalist, Wojciech "Brodi" Turbiarz, in one of the songs: "We take over to liven up the atmosphere." Traditionally, Habakuk invited guests to collaborate on the album, including Muniek Staszczyk, who has been performing with Habakuk in the Rege Inna Polish Stylee project for several years, performing Polish and international hits in a reggae rhythm. The band also invited Janusz "Yanina" Iwański, Pablopavo and Reggaenerator from Vavamuffin, Bob1 and DaBass from Rub Pulse Sound System, and Zabójczy Sławek from the hip-hop group Ideo. Many tracks also feature scratches by Haem, a producer who regularly collaborates with OSTR, among others.

Unlike previous albums, where the lyrics were mainly written by Artur Szumlas, associated with the band, this time most of them were written by vocalist Wojtek "Broda" Turbiarz. Hence, the album has a more personal dimension. The band also reached for the poetry of Sławomir Gołaszewski. He is, to quote the Rasta Roots Reggae website: "a philosopher, poet, composer, musician (including Izrael, Asunta), journalist. A promoter of alternative culture in Poland. Author of the book "Reggae – Rastafari", scientific and journalistic texts, the last director of the legendary fanzine "Non-Stop", a reporter for "Czwarty Wymiar" and "Wegetariański Świat", and the creator of the music project Maxidap. By inviting him to co-create the album, Habakuk wanted to thank him for popularizing reggae at a time when the band was taking its first steps, listening to its magical radio broadcasts.

As on the previous album, you can hear the brass section – this time played by Daniel Pomorski and Łukasz Kluczniak.

The album's lead single is "Życia Rytm." The single, in addition to the title track, also includes instrumental versions of "Życia Rytm" and "Kto?", as well as the previously released track "Zostanę Politykiem."
